Visiting scientist program
-
A visiting scientist programme allows scientists from institutions that are not SAF members to participate in the activities of the SAF. The visiting scientist programme aims at taking benefit from the scientific expertise of institutes outside the OSI SAF consortium, through scientific activity carried out either in the location of a member of the OSI SAF consortium (VS) or in the institute of the visiting scientist itself (AS).
Current potential domain for visiting scientists activities :
- use of the Meteosat sea surface temperature data record (2004-2012) (OSI-250)
- use of the sea ice concentration data record (OSI-450-a) and its ICDR (OSI-430-a)
- use of the Metop/ASCAT, Seawinds, ERS and Oceansat-2 wind data records (OSI-150, OSI-151, OSI-152, OSI-153)
