Discontinuation of OSI SAF Medium Resolution Sea Ice Drift on 19 May 2025
Dear OSI SAF Medium Resolution Sea Ice Drift users,
The OSI SAF is going to suspend the dissemination of the Medium Resolution Sea Ice Drift (OSI-407-a) on EUMETCast and on OSI SAF FTP server as of 19 May 2025.
Despite user surveys and personal contacts to persons who had approached our helpdesk, we have not received any feedback telling us that this product is regularly used.
Please contact us as soon as possible, if you are using the OSISAF MR Sea Ice Drift and let us know if you are not able to deal with this discontinuation. In that case, we can arrange to postpone or cancel the discontinuation.
The OSI SAF advise the users to start using alternative products such as:
