OSI SAF suspends its sea-ice concentration ICDR from SSMIS

Due to the present unstable access to SSMIS data (announced in service message #3364 and earlier), the OSI SAF sea ice team has to stop distribution of the sea-ice concentration interim climate data record based on SSMIS (OSI-430-a) effective today (2025.10.17). The long gaps in input data are indeed impacting the temporal consistency of this climate data record. 

We advise all users to switch to the equivalent AMSR2-based climate data product (OSI-438, currently demonstrational), see here for details:

If the distribution of SSMIS data becomes stable again, we will consider restarting the distribution.
