Correction to the Southern Hemisphere Sea Ice Concentration OSI-401-d

Dear OSISAF users,

We wish to inform you that we have received a report from one of our OSI SAF users regarding an anomaly detected in the SSMIS Southern Hemisphere NRT SIC product (OSI-401-d). Upon investigation, we have identified instances of linear stripes present in the SIC fields (L3 products) on the following dates:

• May 2023: 3, 19, 20
• June 2023: 4, 10, 26
• July 2023: 2, 7, 14
• August 2023: 1, 12, 18
• September 2023: 5, 17

We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully identified the root cause of this issue and have implemented necessary adjustments to our codebase to effectively address the issue. We will try our best to replace affected products on the FTP server and notify the users when done.
